We loved this little house by the water. The downstairs and bedrooms were cared for, clean and comfortable. Standing in the kitchen, looking out over the river was a delight and the kids were fascinated by the boats going by. The bathroom is a little small, but has everything you need in terms of shower, sink and washing machine. The toilet is downstairs. There’s a pancake house with playground and petting zoo not far away and the recommended Reeuwijkse plassen were fantastic for a day of paddling, water- & sand play. We had a wonderful stay and the host Chiel was very responsive to any of our messages. P

There were a few hiccups in regards to information that needed passing on and the dustpan and brush not having been emptied upon arrival. But as we’ve given feedback on this, I don’t think this will be an issue in future. Sadly there is no desk as pictured. I think we may have been one of the first guests, and the house is still being tidied in terms of personal belongings. This didn’t bother us, but may be something to be aware of. We did struggle with the amount of mosquitos, which can be expected so close to the water. I advise anyone staying to bring your mosquito repellent, keep the windows closed and use the aircon to stay cool. Having done this the last night, we barely noticed the mosquitos.

The place where the accommodation is located is small and very charming. It has a beautiful riverside promenade lined with lovely houses. The host was very kind and welcoming. The accommodation was nice decorated and clean. We stayed for one weekend as a family of four: two adults, a baby, and our 4-year-old son. The location is excellent, with The Hague and Scheveningen just a short drive away. We enjoyed visiting both by car and exploring the area by bicycle.
