La Petite Campagne, private pool

What an idyllic place to stay in Bordeaux! This house perfectly suited all generations of our family. We loved all the living areas and the pool especially - it was a lovely layout that allowed everyone to do what they wished but be near to each other! It was quintessentially French - and also tastefully updated and modern inside. It was great there was a very private, ground floor bedroom for granny! The concierge service was ideal - they helped deliver groceries to the property for us, as we were arriving late on the first day and came to meet us to ensure we settled in well. They were very fast with communication with any questions we had. We loved exploring little villages nearby and especially loved how close we were to Saint-Émilion - what a stunning place!

The bedroom layout upstairs worked fine for us - as there are two set of interconnecting bedrooms - but if you had a group who wished more privacy for bedrooms, this might not be ideal. The summer was particularly hot - so the lack of AC meant we needed to be careful with shutters and fans - but thankfully the pool was there to cool off in!
