About this house rental

Majestically commanding an elevated position in the heart of the expansive Euston Hall Estate, of serene grandeur the Temple is an escape above and far from the madding crowd. This spectacular folly was originally built as a banqueting house for the 2nd Duke of Grafton in 1746 and still affords breathtaking views over the unspoilt Capabilty Brown designed parklands and gardens of one of the country’s great estates. The imposing Palladian architecture of this exquisitely crafted octagon, along with recent meticulous refurbishments, creates an uplifting sense of luxurious tranquillity beneath a wonderful high vaulted dome. With a rich lineage and distinguished character, The Temple is a magnificent bucolic retreat offering a superior getaway for friends and families.
The Temple Ground Floor:
Dining Room – A Kentian brickwork octagonal room with vaulted alcoves, one of which houses a traditional double hob three oven AGA cooker, and four impressive Tuscan columns. In the middle is an octagonal table with eight matching chairs. To the south and north are French windows opening straight onto the garden.
The Duchess’s Bedroom – King-sized bed, matching bedside tables & lamps, dressing table, chair, recessed bookshelf and wide views from windows on two sides.
Kitchen – Marble worktops, sink, electric oven with four hobs, full-sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Shower Room – Waterfall power-shower, hand basin and lavatory.
The Temple First Floor:
Drawing Room – The original banqueting room under an splendid dome with a card table for four players and two soft seating areas, one orientated around an open log fireplace with marble mantle piece, and the other a XX” Smart TV. There are sweeping views of the surrounding parkland and waterways.
The Duke’s Bedroom –King-sized bed, matching bedside shelves & lamps and dramatic views from large windows with intricate original cornicing.
Bathroom - Traditional roll-top bath with handheld shower and views over the estate, hand basin, lavatory and dressing-room area.
The Cabin Ground Floor:
Sitting Room – Two seater sofa, chest of drawers, drinks fridge, electric kettle and a Smart TV.
The Game Keeper’s Bedroom – King-sized bed with matching wall mounted reading lights.
The Ghillie’s Bedroom – King-sized truckle style bed that can be compressed into a single and a small writing desk and chair.
Bathroom – Small bath with full height power-shower, hand basin and lavatory.
Outside:
Enclosed garden that includes a lawned south facing sun terrace with table and seating for four and four sun loungers. In a bluebell copse is an outdoor dining table with seating along with a sunken firebowl/pit with a cooking grill surrounded by estate crafted benching.
Beyond the Temple’s garden are thousands of acres of estate land for limitless exploring via multiple permissive and public routes.
Use of Duke’s immaculate all-weather tennis court located down the hill in the Pleasure Grounds of the Hall.
Parking for up to four cars.
