Bleu Cosaan is an atypical artist's studio located in the Avant-Scène Residence in Pont-de-Larn, at the gates of Mazamet and the Montagne Noire. Labeled Heritage Foundation in January 2025, this bourgeois house renovated in 1889 steeped in history retains many original elements: ornate façade, central staircase, marble fireplaces, old parquet flooring, moldings, ceiling rose, carpentry and decorative details. This artists' residence also keeps within its walls the exceptional history of the Tarn pioneers of the peanut oil industry.
Designed for travelers in search of beauty, history and nature, the former bedroom of Robert Cavin, artist, actor and scenographer, has been transformed into a comfortable and immersive studio. Bleu Cosaan has been designed as a scenographic artist's apartment, where heritage elements dialogue with the theatrical atmosphere, works of art, theatre sketches, African art objects. Blue is not just a colour: it is a sensitive thread between indigo, Senegal, theatre and the memory of the house.
The accommodations are designed for a quiet stay, for a maximum of two people. Pets weighing less than 15 kg are accepted only on prior request, with an extra charge.
The precise terms and conditions of arrival, parking and access to the studio are communicated before the stay.
Depending on the period and the organisation of the place, certain complementary cultural experiences may be offered separately by the Avant-Scène association: visit of the Residence, discovery of the works, workshops or artistic mediation experiences, digital gallery.
