This unique and family-friendly mountain cabin is secluded on a hill with spectacular views of the mountains and lake. Perfect for gathering the whole family or group of friends to ski, hike in the mountains or just enjoy being together in Valdres' picturesque nature.
This cabin exudes traditional Norwegian cabin idyll with grass on the roof and authentic Norwegian decor where untreated wood plays the main role. The house is decorated in a cozy and rustic style, with a moose head as the cabin's crown jewel and a lovely fireplace where you can warm yourself after mountain hikes both on skis and on foot. But most special is the view of the mountains and Vasetvatnet lake to the west, which you can enjoy from both the long dining table and the living room's soft sofas.
The cabin is surrounded by a beautiful plot of land, where children and dogs can play freely and safely, while you can enjoy cooking over the cabin's fireplace - perhaps dinner will feature fresh fish from the day's fishing trip? Enjoy the sun and a good book in the lee of the cabin wall with a glass of something good on one of the cabin's terraces with the beautiful mountain landscape as a backdrop.
Explore Valdres' distinctive and beautiful landscape on foot or by bike along the Panoramaveien and the fine, well-marked hiking trails. In the summer months, the ice-cold mountain lake awaits you, where you can swim, fish, let the kids loose on the playground or paddle a trip in the cabin's own canoe, which is available to guests. In the winter months, skiing is the name of the game, and the slopes right behind the cabin are perfect for this.
Family pets are also very welcome - just not in the furniture.
