Log cabin with hot tub in Rauland

At Hovdeli, you can start your day by strapping on your skis right outside the door. A cross-country trail runs just below the cabin and connects you to the trail network around Rauland, while the downhill slopes are just a few minutes’ drive away. Here, some can choose cross-country skiing, others downhill—and everyone meets up again in front of the fireplace afterward.



The cabin sits high and open, surrounded by mountain forest, heather, and rocky outcrops, with sweeping views of Raulandsfjell. Inside, it’s bright and cozy, with large windows, an open ceiling, and plenty of space around the kitchen table. Three bedrooms are on the main floor, while two additional rooms and a loft living area give children and teens their own place to retreat to.



After a day outdoors, the hot tub, sauna, and warmth of the fireplace await. Just a few steps from the cabin is also the small bakehouse with a wood-fired oven. Here you can make pizza or bake bread together—perhaps while a game finds its way to the table and the evening unfolds at its own pace.



When the snow melts, the area offers hiking, biking, fishing, and kayaking. The terraces face south and west, so beautiful days can start with breakfast outdoors and end with dinner from the grill. Or perhaps with a cup of coffee in a lounge chair, the view right in front of you, and no plans at all.
