Designed/built by partners Patrick & Kyle, the Timber House was our attempt to reimagine the historic homestead cabin seen throughout the California high desert. Clad in western red cedar—with white oak millwork throughout its interior—the Timber House is our modern take on an iconic symbol of Joshua Tree's past.



The Space:

-No street-facing windows for maximum privacy

-Smart-home tech throughout, controlled via wall-mounted iPads

-Built-in Sonos sound system throughout the property (inside and outside), controlled via wall-mounted iPads or Sonos mobile app

POOL & HOT TUB:

Propane for the 10-person hot tub is included in the nightly rate. Hot tub to be turned off when not in use.



Propane for the pool is optional and charged separately—Please reach out to Patrick & Kyle for pool heat rates. If you'd like the pool to be pre-heated and ready for your arrival, please let us know at least 24-hours before check-in.



HOUSE RULES (PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING):

* This is not a party house. Please book elsewhere if you can’t be respectful while having fun.

* No unauthorized guests. Only the reserved guests at the time of booking are allowed on the property at any given time during your stay; this includes daytime and overnight guests.

* No more than 4 cars shall be parked on the property at any time. Street parking is prohibited per county ordinance.

*Spa to be turned off when not in use

* No music or loud noise outside during county-mandated quiet hours (10:00PM-8:00AM)

* No unauthorized weddings, workshops or events

*No commercial or location-based photo/video shoot of any kind.

* Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Every home in Joshua Tree is on a septic system.

* No unauthorized pets or animals.

*No candles allowed, no exceptions.

*Moving indoor and outdoor furniture is prohibited.

* Guest agrees to pay violation fees assessed by the county for incidents that occur during their stay.



LIABILITY WAIVER:

By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as THE GUESTS agree to release THE HOSTS from all liability, including financial responsibility relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay. You understand that using the hot tub, hiking and climbing anywhere on the property is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with using the hot tub and hiking and/or climbing. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising while on the property and hold owner harmless.



SECURITY CAMERAS:

For security and liability purposes, there are security cameras located outside of the house—this is a requirement mandated by our insurance provider due to the pool. There are no cameras inside the house or courtyard whatsoever. Rest assured, your privacy is important to us and will be respected—we do not actively check the cameras and assure you the cameras are not monitored during your stay. Camera footage is only reviewed if an incident occurs.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire property, excluding the garage and 1 owner's closet.

Other Things to Note:

Sleeping Arrangements: the Timber House can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests in beds (the primary bedroom contains a king bed, and the other three bedrooms each have queen beds). Given the ample outdoor space from the courtyard to the pool area, we can accommodate larger groups and have chosen to give potential guests the option to include up to 10 guests in their booking. A queen air mattress and bedding are supplied for the 2 additional guests.



NOTE: Additional guests after 8 people will require an additional fee of $35/night at booking. This fee goes straight to our amazing cleaners.



Photoshoots & Special Events: if you'd like to use the Timber House for a photo shoot or special event, let us know before booking as specific rules and fees apply. Unauthorized shoots/events are not permitted.
