About this house rental
The interior features traditional colors that create harmony and tranquility. Much of the furniture is original from the same period, and several pieces were handcrafted by the host's grandfather. The former stable has now been converted into a bedroom, while the small pigsty has become an office. Small-paned windows and wood-burning fireplaces contribute to the unique atmosphere.
The large garden invites you to enjoy summer days with hand-picked flowers for the table. Here you can see deer outside the window in autumn, experience the warm atmosphere behind the small-paned windows in winter, and wake up to birdsong in spring. A boathouse 5 minutes' walk away is also available by arrangement.
Freikollen is right next to the house and offers panoramic views of Kristiansund, the mountains, and the sea. The Atlantic Road is 40 minutes away, with dramatic bridges between islets and skerries. You can also visit Varden for views of the harbor, Campus Kristiansund with its modern wooden architecture, or take a trip to Ikornneset for a swim in the sea.
