About this house rental
A centrally located, cosy two-bedroom cottage in a quiet street, retaining some mid-century charm but with all the conveniences of modern living. Perfect for those visiting for work, ideal for single travellers, two couples, a small family or a few friends meeting for a mini-break.
A 5 minute walk to Dean Street where you'll find a diverse range of restaurants, breakfast cafes, pubs and wine bars. Ideally situated within 500 metres of the beautiful Botanic Gardens.
The space
The cottage is very private with a high front fence and gate. There are lovely spots on the front porch and in the garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a beer or wine after a busy day of tourist activities or work. We have recently refurbished the home and would love to share it with happy travellers.
We provide a welcome basket with some breakfast basics for your arrival, including eggs from our hens (when laying), milk, cereal, muesli bars and a few coffee pods for the Nespresso.
The driveway and carport are not wide so are suitable for sedans and smaller vehicles. Larger vehicles including 4WDs will fit through the gates but it will be tight when opening doors so you may want to park in front of the house. It is a quiet street with ample parking.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire home, front and back yards, carport and driveway areas. The garage is closed off for storage.
Other things to note
There are two steps up to the front verandah and from the back door down to the garden.
Additional charges will apply for the following:
- undeclared guests ($50 per person per night)
- undeclared pets ($100 per pet per night)
- charging electric vehicles ($15 per vehicle per day)
- damages (as per relevant policies)

A lovely homely cottage which would suit two couples or those with a pets as the yard is fully fenced but be aware there is free access to both the front and back. The beds are extremely comfortable, the best sleep I've had in ages. There's no electric blanket but there is a split system in the bedrooms and note that the beds are higher than normal mattresses (super comfy) which may be difficult for an elderly person. The kitchen is fully equipped and the hosts provided some of their own hens eggs, milk, bottled water and condiments including tea & coffee, sugar and oils. The stove is great and the dishwasher was well used. The bathroom was spotless however the shower and toilet are average to small size so those who are more rotund than my size 18 then you may find it a tad tight in the shower. The hosts are friendly and happy to answer any questions. The cottage is a short 4 minute drive to the main streets and is on a quiet back street. The only small draw back is the narrow driveway so I'd suggest you park on the road, which was no bother. 4/5 stars.
