• Water Supply: The home is served by a well, and the water in kitchen from filter tap is potable and safe to drink.
Please be conservative in water usage and do not flush anything other than toilet paper down drains. Be mindful of not washing grease or excess dirt down kitchen sink as we are on a septic system.
• Wildlife: You are in the mountains, and wildlife (including bears, deer, and elk) may pass through the property. Please do not leave any food or garbage outside at any time.
• Pests: As a rural property, mice can sometimes find their way inside. We have an active pest control protocol in place, but you may see traps at certain times of the year.
• Insects: Golden is located in the Columbia Wetlands, and mosquitos can be an issue during summer months. We recommend bringing deterrents like sprays or coils to fully enjoy the outdoors. Make use of window and door screens. Do not leave front door open for any length of time as mosquitoes will enter the home.
• Fires: Outdoor fires are allowed when there are no provincial or local fire bans in effect. Extinguish fire fully before leaving unattended and be mindful of noise after 10pm as we do have neighbours and noise carries.
Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside house.
Do not leave any garbage outdoors.
Clean up after pets indoors and out. Do not allow pet on the furniture. There is a vacuum provided in laundry room to clean up in case of excess shedding.
Be conservative and mindful with water use as on a well and do not flush anything other than toilet paper down toilets.
