About this apartment rental
The Grand Heritage Suite
There is, quite simply, nothing else like this in Auckland. The Grand Heritage Suite brings together two of the building`s finest penthouse suites through a private shared entrance to create a single, expansive four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence occupying a significant portion of the floor — a space of such extraordinary scale, quality, and rarity that it sits in an entirely different category from any other short-stay accommodation in the city.
Each of the two interconnecting suites is a complete, beautifully appointed residence in its own right — with its own fully equipped kitchen, its own living and dining area, its own Illy barista coffee machine, its own Rega P1 record player and Marshall speaker, its own Samsung Smart TVs, and its own two queen bedrooms each with private ensuite or bathroom. When connected through the private shared entrance, the combined floor plan is vast and endlessly flexible — four completely private bedroom and bathroom suites, two full kitchens, two generous living and dining areas, and the ability to move freely between two distinct spaces as a single, unified residence.
The result is an accommodation experience that works equally brilliantly for a large family seeking genuine privacy for each member, for two couples travelling together who want their own space without sacrificing the pleasure of being under the same roof, for a corporate group requiring both private working space and communal gathering areas, or for any occasion that calls for something genuinely exceptional — a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a honeymoon, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Every surface of both suites has been finished to the same uncompromising standard. SMEG ovens and cooktops, Miele fridge/freezers, and ASKO dishwashers in both kitchens. Soho Rose Tablekraft cutlery laid in both dining areas. Chopard Swiss amenity collections — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap — in all four bathrooms, each with underfloor heating. Voila irons and JVD Velyss garment steamers provided in both suites. Two Rega P1 turntables with curated vinyl collections. The detail is extraordinary and entirely consistent throughout.
Heritage ceiling heights amplify the sense of volume in both living areas, and the quality of natural light that moves through a building of this age and construction is unlike anything a new-build could replicate. The atmosphere — calm, warm, quietly magnificent — is one that guests consistently describe as unlike anywhere they have stayed before.
THE BUILDING
A century of history, reimagined
The building at 45 Anzac Avenue has stood at the heart of Auckland for over a century. Its transformation into a collection of luxury penthouse suites has been executed with extraordinary sensitivity — the proportions, materiality, and quiet grandeur of the original structure preserved and celebrated throughout, while every interior surface has been resolved to a standard that would be at home in the world`s finest boutique hotels.
The Grand Heritage Suite occupies two of the eight suites in this intimate collection — ensuring that the level of privacy, exclusivity, and personalised service that defines the building is fully preserved for every guest of the combined residence.
The entire floor is exclusively yours — four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, and two open-plan living and dining areas. Access throughout is via electronic key card or smartphone app for seamless, secure entry at any hour
While we will leave you in peace to enjoy your time in Auckland, we are available 24 hours a day for an emergency.
For those non-urgent like-to-haves, just give us a call or a quick message and we will do everything we can to make this your most memorable trip to Auckland yet.
BRITOMART — FIVE MINUTES FROM YOUR DOOR
Auckland`s most celebrated precinct
Step outside and within two minutes you are in Britomart — Auckland`s most revered and revitalised urban precinct, and one of the most compelling dining, shopping, and cultural destinations in the Southern Hemisphere. What began as a derelict cluster of Edwardian and Victorian heritage warehouses has been transformed over the past two decades into a cobblestoned, laneway-laced neighbourhood of extraordinary beauty and vitality — a place that feels simultaneously timeless and entirely of the moment.
The dining scene in Britomart is exceptional by any international standard. Amano — consistently celebrated as one of Auckland`s finest restaurants — anchors the precinct`s culinary reputation with its seasonal Italian-inspired menu and glittering atmosphere. Mr Morris brings a deeply personal and distinctly New Zealand voice to contemporary fine dining. Ortolana occupies a sun-filled conservatory in the Britomart Pavilions, serving beautifully considered bistro food in one of Auckland`s most romantic settings. Kingi at The Hotel Britomart is the city`s undisputed seafood destination. Xuxu, Perch, and a rotating cast of acclaimed smaller restaurants and bars complete a precinct where the quality of eating is consistently outstanding.
The boutique shopping in Britomart is equally distinguished — flagship stores from New Zealand`s most celebrated designers including Maggie Marilyn, Karen Walker, Zambesi, Kate Sylvester, and Deadly Ponies line the cobblestoned laneways alongside carefully curated independent boutiques. The Britomart Pavilions, with their foliage-draped black cladding and gallery-like interiors, offer a shopping experience that feels closer to a European fashion capital than a Pacific city.
By evening, Britomart transforms into one of Auckland`s most atmospheric neighbourhoods — twinkling lights strung between heritage buildings, beautifully designed bars and wine rooms humming with a quietly sophisticated energy. It is the best two-minute walk in Auckland, and it begins at your front door.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Sky Tower and SkyCity complex are five minutes on foot. Karangahape Road — Auckland`s most creatively vibrant dining and arts strip — is a pleasant walk uphill through the city`s historic laneway network.

The Auckland Ferry Terminal is nearby for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services. Uber and private car services are available throughout the CBD at all hours. There is no dedicated car park with the suite, but we are delighted to arrange secure off-site parking nearby for guests who require it — simply advise at booking and we will confirm all arrangements. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car, and a private chauffeur transfer can be arranged at additional cost.
The Rega P1 turntable is stocked with a curated selection of records — guests are warmly invited to bring their own. The Illy coffee machine is supplied with curated blends; additional pods are available from specialty stores nearby and we are happy to arrange a supply before your arrival.
The suite includes a Voila iron and JVD Velyss garment steamer — ideal for guests arriving for business, events, or occasions that call for a polished presentation. A 10% discount applies automatically to stays of 28 nights or more, and weekly rates are available for extended visits.
