About this house rental
Step into a true piece of Montana history at the Wamsley House—a beautifully restored 1908 home listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Built by early Bitterroot Valley settlers, this home reflects the craftsmanship, grit, and pride of a time when homes were built to last. It was originally constructed by hand as part of a new life in the West, and it still carries that story in its walls today.
Our goal in this remodel was simple: bring the home back to what it once was—while making it comfortable for modern living. Every detail was approached with that in mind, including the complete refinishing of the original hardwood floors throughout the home, restoring the warmth and character that have existed here for over a century.
The home features 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, comfortably accommodating families, groups, or traveling professionals. Sleeping arrangements include 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 2 twin bunks, and a twin bed.
Inside, you’ll find a cozy living space perfect for relaxing, along with a large dining room and table designed for gathering—just as the home was originally intended. Modern amenities have been thoughtfully added without sacrificing its historic charm, including air conditioning and two sets of washers and dryers for convenience.
This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a chance to experience a home that has stood for over a century, carefully brought back to life so it can be enjoyed for generations to come.
