About this house rental
Sit on the large terrace, enjoy the peace and quiet, and gaze out into the distance and the greenery—from the upstairs window, you can watch the setting sun reflect off the Saaler Bodden in the evening. A fantastic sight!
Not far from our vacation home is the Crane Museum with the Crane Café, as well as the PL Gallery, which features rotating sales exhibitions. An insider tip!
Take a stroll through the old estate park, which belongs to the Crane Hotel. Read the historical information at the old tower mound and stop by the Kranich Café for coffee and homemade cake (open Friday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Relax under the old fruit trees and let the charm of the renovated estate inspire you to daydream. The walk back to your/our vacation home is short. You’ll find that even a small town like this is worth a visit.
The district of Hessenburg in the municipality of Saal, located between the “Amber City” of Ribnitz-Damgarten and the Fischland-Darß Peninsula, has been a state-recognized resort since 2018 and is an ideal starting point in the region of the southern Bodden coast. A visitor’s tax of 2.00 euros per night must be paid for each person aged 6 and older. The Saaler Bodden in the municipality of Saal offers ideal conditions for water sports enthusiasts. Surfers and kite surfers in particular can be found here. If you’re interested, book a course with Kite-Mafia in Saal.
The Baltic Sea beaches in Zingst and Dierhagen are a 20-minute drive away. The beautiful Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Stralsund—the gateway to the island of Rügen—are just a 30-minute drive away. The nearest restaurant serving regional home-style cooking is 2.5 km away. The coastal hinterland of the Baltic Sea offers a wide variety of sports, cultural, and recreational activities to suit every taste. There’s something for everyone here.
