Edam is one of the most picturesque towns in North Holland. The canals, the historic facades, and the atmospheric cheese market on Wednesdays in July and August make it a place that captivates you immediately. Stroll through the narrow streets, enjoy a drink at one of the cozy cafés, or rent a whisper boat to explore the area from the water. Edam is best discovered at your own pace.

For those looking to explore further, there are plenty of options. Volendam and Marken are just a fifteen-minute bike ride away, while Hoorn and Alkmaar offer beautiful historic city centers, and Amsterdam can be reached by bus or car in half an hour. The Markermeer is within walking distance, perfect for a refreshing swim, a walk along the water, or a boat trip that showcases the region in its most beautiful light.
