About this apartment rental
Apartments with a View of Alexander’s Lutheran Cathedral and Historic Narva** The apartments offer an inspiring view of Alexander’s Lutheran Cathedral, an 18th-century architectural symbol of Narva that gives this place a truly special atmosphere. In the morning, it is a pleasure to start the day with a cup of coffee or tea by the window, watching the soft light over the city. In the evening, you can return after a walk and enjoy the calm, the sense of history, and the beautiful cityscape. Just a **3-minute walk** away is the city promenade along the Narva River — one of the most picturesque places in the city. From here, you can enjoy an impressive view of the medieval Narva Castle with its Long Hermann Tower, which today houses a museum, as well as Ivangorod Fortress in Russia on the opposite bank of the river. This place is truly special: Narva is considered one of only three unique places in Europe where you can see two historic fortresses in two different countries, separated only by a river. On one side stands Narva Castle in Estonia, dating back to the 13th century; on the other, Ivangorod Fortress from the 15th century. This rare combination of a border, a river, fortr
A 15–20-minute walk from the apartments will take you to Town Hall Square — the historic heart of Narva. Here you can see the restored 17th-century Narva Town Hall, built between 1668 and 1671, as well as the modern building of Narva College of the University of Tartu, constructed on the site of the former city stock exchange. The preserved cellars and underground passages of the old exchange have been restored, and today guests can visit them on a guided tour, as well as enjoy exhibitions, concerts, and other cultural events. This architectural ensemble is especially interesting because it brings together different eras of Narva: the historic town hall, the memory of the lost stock exchange, and the contemporary architecture of the university building. A walk to Town Hall Square is a wonderful opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the old city and learn more about Narva’s history. After visiting Town Hall Square, you can continue your walk through the Dark Garden — Narva’s oldest park, established at the end of the 19th century on the site of the historic bastions. Through this green and atmospheric park, you can easily descend to the Narva River and reach the city promenad
