    The positives are that the staff was nice, the hotel looks impressive and the rooms are spacious. However, accessing the hotel by car is a bit difficult as Google maps will take you through some very narrow, hard to navigate roads. However, it's a short walk away from the beach over some hilly terrain. The hotel was going through some refurbishment at the time we stayed, so the cleaning and preparation was not fully up to mark. (The room was clean but not absolutely spotless like we expected, the fittings in the bathroom were broken, there were no waste bins in the room, our kettle was rusted, the floorboards were broken so there was some water leakage). The management did promise further renovations for next time. However, special mention should go to the manager Asiri, who was friendly and accommodating and allowed us a very late check out given the difficulty of getting to the hotel due to roadworks.

    Our stay was a bit of shambles. The management were not initially aware of our booking and put us into a room with a king bed instead of a family room. They then said that they had canceled our Agoda booking and requested that we pay cash on checkout. The accommodation is 2 stars at best. The building was not clean and degrading, TVs had been removed from the walls and the bathroom smelt. A new hotel is being constructed across the road - that inhibits the view of the ocean. We decided not to have breakfast at the Mazarine having regard to the cleanliness of the place. Would not recommend for families. Good for surfers
