Very cool place. A nice villa with a pool, didn’t feel like a hostel, beds had curtains and sockets. Breakfast was decent, coffee was good and Pedro (the owner) also drove us to the lovely Arrifana beach and back.

The house is beautiful, beaches around are great for surfing. The staff is incredible, they make you feel part of a family rather than just a hostel guest

Shower had very good pressure!
It’s quite remote - 20 minutes’ walk to any shop/cafe/restaurant
There are a lot of mosquitoes but no air conditioning so difficult to have cool and/or fresh air without being bitten!
Whilst nicely decorated, the diagnosis of the building has very poor acoustics so that every noise is amplified which isn’t great when people are talking, watching things anywhere in the corridor or sitting room/kitchen
