You've earned this vacation, and you couldn't have chosen a sweeter spot than this family- and dog-friendly waterfront retreat on Estes Lake. Outside, you'll find lots of comfortable spaces for enjoying the lovely lake views – start the day with coffee on the waterfront deck or the brick patio down below. Take your time – you're on vacation. When you get hungry, head inside to make some breakfast. Windows throughout offer the same gorgeous view, and the open, bright space creates a feeling of togetherness. The full, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up a meal, and you can dine together at the window-front table for six.
Now it's time to explore, and no matter what time of year you visit, you'll be spoiled for choice. Warm weather offers fishing, boating, hiking, local farm stands, and exploration of the nearby Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. Autumn leaf peeping in this heavily forested area can't be beat, and in the winter, bring your cold-weather gear, because ice fishing, snowmobiling, and ice skating abound. Kennebunkport is less than 15 miles away and you'll find downtown Sanford only five minutes west, with great restaurants and shops to check out. Plan a trip to spend an afternoon at Wells Beach, just 14 miles away.
When you return, let the kids splash around on the small, sandy beach area while you fire up the gas grill. Have dinner alfresco at the picnic table, then stream your favorite shows while the electric fireplace keeps things cozy. End the night back outside around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and telling stories about the perfect day you just had – and planning for another one tomorrow.

The view was fantastic- the pictures don’t lie. And the setting was so serene. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen adequately stocked. The futon cushions could be updated, but were still quite comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

An incredible stay at this beautiful lakefront house. The property was spotless, well-maintained, and is located both on a quiet street and on a peaceful cove on the lake. The spot is stunning - ducks and loons in the water right in front of the house. There is plenty of space for the whole family to spread out, relax and enjoy.Inside the house is super comfortable and functional - felt like we were visiting friends and not at a rental. It is clear that much care has been taken to make guests feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need (…and we cook!). Communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay, they are SUPER nice! Absolutely no complaints during our trip. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable retreat by the lake. Will not hesitate to book again!

Pros: Beds were comfortable, lake view was fantastic. Location was great for us visiting friends 10 minutes away. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking.Cons: Living room seating was old, uncomfortable, and needs replacing. It was hard to get in and out of them. The refrigerator was missing bottom bin, made funny noise, and froze some of our food. The Microwave made a funny sound once when we used it. There were no empty cupboard shelves for us to store our food in and very little counter space. When we took the garbage out to designated area, we found the containers were already full. If you do not own apps for TV, there is limited live shows available. Info that should be shared: Counter tops and cupboards are higher than normal. It was hard for us (5'5"-5'11") to reach the second shelf in the cupboard to get the dishes. We did not use the grill or lake as weather was cold and wet.
