This small town resort community maintains a down-to-earth feel while still providing plenty of amenities and activities to keep you busy, relaxed, and rejuvenated during your visit. Walk a quarter-mile to the base of the lifts at Big Sky Resort, or book a dog sled tour with Spirit of the North Dog Sled Adventures. The sunny shores of Lake Levinsky are right across the street come summer, and Yellowstone National Park awaits 57 miles south.
To access the Big Sky Resort Basecamp from Big Horn Condominiums, walk to the nearby Black Bear Poma lift, which will take you to a ski-down path that connects to the base area lifts like Ramcharger and Swifty. The Poma lift starts at 9 am, so if you want to ski earlier, you'll need to drive or walk to the base. To get back to your condo after a day of skiiing, you can ride the lift to a point where you can ski back to your condo. You can also ski the Silver Knife Trail to return directly to the front door of your condo, please be mindful of road traffic as you may have so ski over to road to get to your condo.

The Black Bear Poma (the Poma lift) at Big Sky Resort typically operates daily from around 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM during ski season,but these hours can change, so always check Big Sky's official 'Lift Status' page for real-time, current operating hours and any potential early closures due to weather, as seen on Peakvisor and Big Sky Resort.
