About this house rental
Beautiful and spacious home, two blocks off East Main Street and the war museum. Walkable to the shops, museums, and East Main. The Space:
The Elk Street House is on the edge of the east end of Old Fredericksburg near The Old Mill Settlement and the Historic Der Stadt Friedhof. We are two blocks from the Pacific War Museum and half a block from the re-enactment zone. Restaurants such as Otto's, and Tubby's are just 2-3 blocks away. We are also three blocks from east Main where the shops are located. The three-bedroom home is directly next door to my main house. High ceilings and an open space greet you when you enter. The living and kitchen area are not oversized but the open landscape gives it a roomy feel. The kitchen is set-up for most cooking tasks and the dining area for evenings in the house. The master bedroom features a seating area and spacious layout with a master bathroom - King Bed. A second bedroom has a king bed and a half bath. The final bedroom and includes extra sleeping space (one Standard bed and 3 full beds). The sunroom has a trundle bed with two full-sized mattresses also. Private drive and entrance for guests with plenty of street parking. If you need even more space contact us. Casa Tranquila and Der Zimmer are directly next doors. Special requests or set-ups may be accommodated so just ask! There may be fees for extra materials but we can work all that out.
Guest Access:
The house is all yours. Washer and dryer are located in main house but with a separate side entrance. You have full access to the entire front yard.
The Neighborhood:
Neighborhood is a block away from the end of "Old Fredericksburg" by the historic Lutheran Cemetery Der Stadt Friedhof. The perks of being close to Main and not have the noise of Main Street. Very walkable to all of central Main Street. Two blocks to the Pacific War Museum, Otto's and wine shuttle. Quiet neighborhood but easy to access.
Getting Around:
There is Uber and Lift in town. You can book a private rental through several places in town. The best up to-date list is at the visitors center. Message the host if you need help.
Interaction with Guests:
I live onsite and someone is available to assist with whatever you need, just text, call, or knock on the bright orange door for your questions, just to chat or whatever! I travel frequently, but someone will always be available!
