About this house rental

Discerning wine lovers and passionate hikers, Caroline & Renaud welcome you to an authentic 19th-century farm outbuilding "with old-world charm" (once linked to the elegant neighboring manor house, which they occupy), very carefully renovated with style and taste into an ultra-comfortable holiday home, nestled in the quiet on the edge of a small alley, a stone's throw from the vineyards and the great outdoors, in the heart of a peaceful and picturesque wine-growing village in the Côte Chalonnaise. Perched on a hillside offering panoramic views, on a west-facing slope beneath the wooded ridges of a small forest that shelters a renowned climbing area (offering magnificent panoramas of the Vallée des Vaux and its sublime landscapes), the village boasts a rich and perfectly preserved heritage (beautifully restored winemakers' houses and traditional homes) and enjoys a splendid, picture-postcard setting, combining bucolic vineyard slopes, rivers, fields, beautiful hedged meadows, and vast wild forests (ideal for leisurely walks or mountain bike rides). Enjoy complete tranquility in the heart of the gently rolling wine country, within a protected area designated as a ZNIEFF (Zone Naturelle d'Intérêt Écologique, Faunistique et Floristique) and a Natura 2000 site (for its rich flora and fauna). An enchanting setting, truly relaxing and restful. Spacious, high-standard gîte. A vast living room with a magnificent cathedral ceiling, enhanced by the stunning original timber frame (which runs throughout the entire cottage like a unifying thread). A warm, contemporary, and sophisticated style, inspired by country chic. A cozy and inviting atmosphere. Full of charm and character. A pleasant suspended balcony-terrace (sunny or shaded, as you prefer) offers a stunning view of the old village. Access to the owners' swimming pool, nestled within a lovely, secluded, walled garden (just steps from the cottage). Composition: Village house adjoining outbuildings belonging to the owners, adjacent to their own house (completely independent). Heat pump heating. Air conditioning. Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Ground-floor cottage (3 steps): living room/kitchen/lounge (double sofa bed 160x200cm), bedroom (double bed 160x200cm) with ensuite shower room, separate WC. Private balcony/terrace. Access to swimming pool (7x4m) and bicycle storage on the owner's side (shared). Ample public parking (on the street in front of the house or in a small square next to the cottage).
