Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, sample some of this area’s best local produce from the traditional market town of Keswick that offers a historic market twice a week. If you’re keen to reconnect with nature, there are plenty of places for cycling, walking and climbing as you’re surrounded by some spectacular scenery, including designated routes around Latrigg and Catbells. Nearby, you can also uncover the natural beauty of Skiddaw and Blencathra, both reach within 7 miles. If you fancy a round of golf, Keswick Golf Club is just under 5 miles away. Head to Derwentwater, 0.6 miles away, to enjoy a lake cruise, or head out on the water in a canoe or kayak.
