Picture this: cool mountain air, towering Ponderosa pines just outside your door, and absolutely nothing on the agenda but making memories. That's what a stay at our Pinetop-Lakeside retreat feels like — and it's only a 2.5-hour drive from Phoenix.
Tucked inside a peaceful gated community at 7,000 feet elevation, this beautifully appointed 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath home sleeps 6 and is designed for families who want space, comfort, and real adventure right outside the door.
The Bedrooms — Built for Families
Both master suites are upstairs, each with its own private full bathroom. The Bear Room features a king bed and twin — perfect for parents or older kids who want their own space. The Moose Room has a queen bed plus two twins, ideal for siblings or mixed-age groups. A sleeper sofa in the living room handles the overflow.
The Main Level — Made for Gathering
The full kitchen has everything you need for family meals. Gather around the wood-burning fireplace on cool mountain evenings (guests are welcome to bring firewood). A separate family room, spacious dining area, and private entrance round out a layout that gives everyone room to spread out without feeling on top of each other.

The house is beautiful and vry roomy. We did have dogs in the gated community that barked throughout the nights, so that was annoying. The beds were comfortable, all amenities in the kitchen and great appliances. Fun stores, hiking trails and beautiful drives.

We were two couples and the condo was great. Close to everything. Community hot tub was a little disappointing. The water looked uninviting, so despite sore muscles from skiing, we didn’t use it. We also would have liked some cable or satellite TV.
