Wake up to songbirds, walk to Bates College, and finally slow down.
Tucked into one of Lewiston's most beloved residential neighborhoods, this cozy 450 sq. ft. cottage is a private in-law cottage on our property. Whether you're visiting Bates for a campus tour or alumni weekend, working at nearby St. Mary's Hospital or CMMC, or simply using Lewiston as your base for exploring Maine, you'll find this little corner of the world surprisingly hard to leave.
Step outside and you're on the beautiful Bates College campus, perfect for a morning stroll. Lace up your shoes and climb Mt. David or wander the trails at Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary for sweeping views. Drive to the Italian Bakery an pick up an Italian sandwich and pastry and head out to the Maine coast (just a short drive away). Got kids? We're 25 minutes from Pineland Farms and Maine Wildlife Refuge. Portland is 35 minutes south, and whether you're headed north to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park or all the way to Canada, you're perfectly positioned in the middle of it all. Groceries, cafes, and local restaurants are all within easy reach when you're ready to venture out.

**The Vibe**
This cottage is a private in-law unit on our property, giving you your own self-contained space while having friendly hosts just steps away. We're tucked into a tight-knit residential neighborhood comprised of families with kids, Seniors, working professionals, and Bates faculty and students. Our cottage is ideal for guests who want to slow down, sleep well, and feel genuinely at home in a wonderful and cozy neighborhood.
**Parking**
Free street parking is right out front, available 6 AM–11 PM. After 11 PM, our driveway is available- just a heads-up that we're usually moving by 7:30 AM, so an early car shuffle may occasionally be needed.
**A Few Things to Know**
- We are not able to accommodate guest pets at this time, sorry!
-For security and transparency, there are exterior cameras located at the driveway and in the backyard.
- No parties or events please; quiet hours are 10 PM–7 AM
