About this house rental
Can Terrats is a 200-year-old farmhouse in the centre of Blanes, renovated in 2019 while keeping the original stone walls. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen and two private patios, one of them under a century-old vine. Parking inside the property for three cars. Everything on one floor. A 3-minute walk to the town centre and 8-10 minutes to the beach. Sleeps 10: two families or a group of friends.
THE SPACE
Living room with sofa bed and a dining table for ten next to the original stone wall.
Open, fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso, kettle, rice cooker, wine glasses and barbecue utensils.
Three bedrooms: one with a double bed and two with a double plus a single bed. Two full bathrooms with walk-in showers. Washer and dryer. Cot, travel cot and high chair available at no charge.
Front patio with lawn, a table for eight and a barbecue. Back patio covered by a century-old vine, with sun loungers; in summer it is shaded all day. Both patios are enclosed and for guests only.
Wi-Fi, TV, central heating and fans. The house has no air conditioning; the stone walls keep it cool, though in July and August you will want to sleep with the windows open.
Free parking for three cars inside the property, with a slow charging point for electric cars.
GETTING AROUND
Town centre and promenade 3 minutes on foot, Blanes beach and Sa Palomera 8-10 minutes, supermarkets and market 5 minutes. By car: Tossa and the coves in half an hour, Girona in 40 minutes, Barcelona in one hour. Girona airport 35 km.
ARRIVAL AND HOST
House, patios and parking are for the exclusive use of guests. Self check-in with a key box. If there is a check-out the same day, check-in is from 4 pm. I live next door and can welcome you in person or leave you to settle in on your own; ask me for local tips.
GOOD TO KNOW
Quiet residential area: silence after 10 pm and no parties.
Catalonia tourist tax: 1.75 EUR per person per night (over 16, max 7 nights), paid in cash on arrival.
