The house is inspired by old, long barns and built with wood on the exterior, plywood on the interior, and wood insulation in the walls, creating a comfortable and airy indoor environment.
The common room is the heart of the house with a vaulted ceiling, where the kitchen, dining area, and living room flow together into one large space. The bedroom offers a direct ocean view, and right next to it, you’ll find a bathtub that also overlooks the water. The floor is raw concrete with underfloor heating, perfect for bare feet covered in sand from the beach.
The property is overgrown with rose hips and marram grass, creating an authentic coastal feel. The house’s shower is outdoors and has both cold and hot water, so you can choose between a refreshing or warm bathing experience under the open sky.
You can enjoy a morning swim right in front of the house, buy fresh eggs and vegetables at the yellow farm shop along the road, or take a trip to Kalundborg and have lunch at Asgers Fisk at the harbor. Here, you’ll find the peace to enjoy the simple life by the sea.
