When you're not enjoying the undisturbed drifting life here or in the house, you can explore Orø and its cozy eateries, pick up fresh fish in the harbor or buy local pottery and crafts.
Even though you're just an hour from Copenhagen, nature is always close by, and when there are no deer, pheasants or squirrels visiting the cottage grounds, there are plenty of opportunities for excursions and experiences in the area. There's a child-friendly beach with a blue flag, a jetty in the harbor for your morning dip, renowned hiking trails and the opportunity to take a trip in a rented sea kayak.
