Sunset Climb & Hike: Red River Gorge Cabin w/ Deck

"WOW" is too small a word to describe how utterly fantastic our whole experience was at Sunset Climb & Hike: Red River Gorge Cabin. The communication with the hosts both before and after our arrival was truly exceptional! They placed bakery treats in the fridge, recommended local restaurants, and were willing to correct any problem should one arise; none did. The cabin itself was constructed from refurbished wood and corrugated metal from an old tobacco barn. The craftsmanship was flawless and truly added to the feel of being a Kentucky mountain cabin. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with baking sheets, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, two different types of coffee makers, dishwasher, and everything possibly needed to cook all meals in-house. It was also very user friendly. The beds were comfortable and each of the two bedrooms had their own large television. The two bathrooms were spacious and equipped with every kind of toiletry and copious amounts of towels. We did not use it, but a washer/dryer combo was also available with cleaning pods included. The deck gave unobstructed views of the beautiful trees, a large table for eating, games or crafts, as well as multiple sets of chairs. Trails had been cut for hikers to enjoy. A nice gas grill was available on the deck. An additional fire pit was stocked with freshly cut firewood and fire starters for additional help. Our favorite part was the hot tub--seating 4 people and very clean. A 10 star experience!!
