About this house rental
The house was worn, sad and located in a parking lot when the family took it over three years ago. They have since given it a loving touch by renovating it with terraces, outdoor baths and planting various berry bushes, as well as an apple and almond tree. The family has also made a point of preserving the original architecture of the house, with the great hall, complete with pulpit and inscription on the wall, now serving as a lovely open-plan kitchen and living room with socializing as the focal point. The ground floor also includes a large bedroom, a small toilet and a large entrance hall, and the old choir on the first floor has been fitted with soundproof glass and converted into a bedroom overlooking the hall. The house is decorated in soft colors with interiors from Bornholm to reflect the peace and tranquility of the local community.
The maritime mill and fishing town of Aarsdale offers a cozy harbor environment with a sauna for winter swimming and a few active fishermen, a beautiful beach just 100 meters from the cottage, a Høker and Mikkeler has opened a good restaurant and pub in the summer. After a meal in town, you can take a walk to the town's most famous landmark, the well-preserved mill from 1877. If you have good walking shoes, you can also head to the beautiful nature and forest area, Paradisbakkerne, with many great hiking trails. Follow the nature trail three kilometers north to Svaneke and five kilometers south to Nexø, each of which is unique in its own special way.
