About this house rental
Le Jardin Secret – quiet duplex maisonette in Saintes.
Furnished tourist accommodation 3*
Nestled at the bottom of our garden, this small independent house offers a peaceful setting while being close to the hyper center on foot.
Living space downstairs, open bedroom upstairs.
Linen provided, self-arrival possible or reception on site.
Ideal for a relaxing interlude.
Attention: staircase without railings, not suitable for young children.
The accommodation
🌿 Welcome to the Secret Garden, a small independent house nestled at the bottom of our garden, designed as a peaceful interlude where you can recharge your batteries in peace.
Here, everything has been designed to make you feel good from the moment you arrive, in a simple, comfortable and soothing setting.
🛏️ A space on two levels, warm and functional
The maisonette consists of:
* on the first floor: a living space with lounge area (with bench for two beds - 2 mattresses 80X200) and equipped kitchen, opening onto a small shared garden with private terrace.
* upstairs: a sleeping area with a 140 cm double bed with quality bedding and connected TV, open to the bathroom (shower and sink), WC and dressing room for 4 people.
Comfort:
Electric kettle, toaster, ecological espresso coffee maker (compostable pods) dolce Gusto Neo, or French press (bring coffee beans, we have a grinder adapted to the coffee maker) fridge freezer, food processor, oven, hob and microwave, WIFI and reversible air conditioning.
Wool blankets for winter, mosquito nets for summer:-)
There are blackout curtains in each sleeping area.
The bed is prepared for your arrival and bed linen and towels are provided free of charge for a stress-free stay.
If necessary, you can use our washing machine and dryer, or drying rack, in the laundry room of our house.
⚠️ Please note that the staircase does not have railings. For this reason, the accommodations are not suitable for young children.
Also, the place is unfortunately not adaptable to people in wheelchairs.
Smoking is not allowed inside but you will find an ashtray on the terrace.
🌿 A quiet place, on the banks of the Charente, close to everything.
You enjoy a peaceful environment while being a few minutes walk from the hyper center of Saintes (without the Noise pollution), shops and the main sites to visit.

We live on site and remain available if you need advice or help during your stay.
We also know how to be discreet in order to let you enjoy the place independently.
🔑 Simple and flexible arrival
You can arrive independently thanks to a key box, or be welcomed in person according to your preference.
🌱 A responsible stay
We are committed to offering a pleasant place, while encouraging a few simple gestures to preserve resources.
🚲 🚘Parking:
For cyclists: you can park your bikes safely in our rear garage.
Cars: you can park easily on the quay, and you can park in front of our garage for unload your belongings as close as possible to the accommodation.
Train: The train station is 20 mins from operation, and depending on our availability we can pick you up at the station, don't hesitate to ask!
✨ The Secret Garden is an outbuilding in the heart of our small garden, with its charm and authenticity. Like any place open to nature, it can happen that a few discreet visitors (insects) invite themselves despite our vigilance.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Secret Garden.

You will have access to the entire house, to half of the small garden (with table and terrace chairs, we can also lend you a barbecue) but you will also have access to the first floor of our house which includes a back garage in which you can store your bikes, an additional toilet reserved for you, and a laundry room (washing machine / dryer)
Other remarks
Parking: To unload your belongings, you can park in front of our garage (stop and/or go), then on the quay in front of our house it is generally easy to find parking (paid or blue zone, from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm, except on Saturday afternoons and Sundays when it is free). Further down the wharf you will find free parking.
You can store your bikes on the first floor of our house.
