Natural thatched cottage with fireplace, playhouse & fireplace

On the outskirts of the idyllic village of Markerup lies the sprawling grounds of the former farm. A narrow oak-lined avenue leads to the farmyard; birch trees and ancient beech trees line the green garden, which features a fire pit, a riding arena, and a small stable.

The half of the house facing the courtyard is an idyll for vacationers: bathed in sunshine and furnished with restored antique furniture that complements the home’s style. The heart of the house is the spacious dining area with a solid-wood plank table and a fully equipped open kitchen. The living room, featuring a wood-burning stove and an adjoining sleeping area (double bed 160x200 cm), is another cozy spot in the house. In the room with bunk beds (each 90x200 cm), guests can paint and do crafts at the desk, or work in wonderful peace and quiet. The third bedroom is furnished with a double bed (160x200 cm) and a cozy rocking chair. The bathroom features a floor-level walk-in shower, heated floors, and a washing machine.

A playhouse with foosball, a ping-pong table, a dartboard, and much more, as well as a large trampoline and a fire pit with grilling equipment, are available for our vacation guests to use. Terrace or garden areas can be fenced off as desired with a portable dog fence.

Adjacent to the half of the vacation home is a cozy one-room apartment with a double bed and a private terrace. If you’re interested in both accommodations, we’d be happy to offer a discount.
