About this house rental

You’ll find yourselves on a 1.9-hectare lot that’s part of a protected nature area of approximately 1,000 hectares encompassing Gravlevdalen, Lindenborg Å, and Rold Skov. The authentic log cabin is well hidden from the road, featuring large windows that frame the view of the wild, protected nature where deer and birds roam. The wood-burning stove provides warmth, and the double doors open the house up to the forest.

Inside, there is a new kitchen with wooden cabinet fronts and a steel countertop, where functionality meets the soul of the house. In the kitchen-dining area, the wood-burning stove stands by the large glass doors, and there is both a cozy reading nook with a sofa and armchairs as well as a living room with sofas and a desk with a screen for a TV or computer, so there is room for both tranquility, socializing, and a bit of work, if needed.

The hilly natural grounds are protected and grow wild. You are very welcome to explore the grounds and blaze your own trails or enjoy the blueberries, gooseberries, raspberries, and currants growing in the garden. Around the house, you’ll find a lounge sofa with an outdoor wood-burning stove, garden furniture, a hammock, and a fire pit. Here, you’ll be completely undisturbed.

From the house, you can walk past Gravlev Church and around Gravlev Lake, passing springs like Lille Blåkilde and Ravnkilde along the way. Rebild Bakker offers countless hiking trails, including the Gravlev Ådal Trail, which passes almost right by the house and has been named Denmark’s second-best hiking trail by the Deutsches Wanderinstitut, and in the summer, Store Økssø is perfect for a dip; The Regan Vest Museum with its trails atop the bunker complex, Skillingbro Undervejsbro, and Thingbæk Kalkminer are also within a few kilometers’ walk, and in the area you’ll also find cozy dining spots such as Rold Storkro, MosskovPavillonen, and Top Karens Hus.
