About this cottage rental
At the front of the house, the living room is brightened by a bay window that lets in plenty of natural light. It’s an inviting space to unwind after a day exploring the town or walking along the coastline. The kitchen and dining area sit at the heart of the cottage, offering ample room to cook, share meals, and spend time together comfortably.
The bedrooms are spread across the upper two floors, creating a sense of space and privacy for guests. The main bedroom features a double bed, the second is arranged as a twin, and the top-floor bedroom, with its sloping ceilings and skylights, provides a peaceful retreat. A family bathroom upstairs, along with an additional ground-floor WC, ensures mornings run smoothly.
Outside, a south-facing patio offers a sunny, sheltered spot to enjoy some fresh air away from the bustle of town. The property also benefits from parking for two vehicles, accessed by a narrow lane.
For larger groups, the cottage can be booked alongside the neighbouring Mumbles Cottage, allowing up to 12 guests to stay close together.
Whitby is a historic seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast, celebrated for its dramatic cliff-top views, sandy beaches, and atmospheric harbour. Overlooking the town are the striking ruins of Whitby Abbey, famously linked to Dracula by Bram Stoker. The iconic 199 steps lead down into the old town, where narrow streets are lined with independent shops and traditional fish and chip restaurants. Blending maritime heritage with a creative, slightly quirky spirit, Whitby hosts festivals throughout the year and offers easy access to the North York Moors — a place where coastal scenery, rich history, and a relaxed pace of life come together.
