About this house rental
The space
Step outside and experience the best of West Seattle. Our 1940s bungalow, affectionately known as “PeaPod” due to its green color and small size, has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a laundry space, kitchen and living room (with a sleeper sofa). There is also a spacious backyard and front yard (south-facing) so you can enjoy the outdoors.
Both the main bed and the sofa bed are queen-size. We do say up to 4 people can stay here due to having 2 beds - small families will be fine but the space may be uncomfortable for 4 adults over a long booking.
The kitchen has some essentials like coffee (ground and unground) with drip and french press brewing options, tea, kitchen utensils, microwave, toaster, stove & oven, refrigerator etc.
The living room is equipped with a 60” Roku TV w/ soundbar.
Stroll five minutes to the C Line or 21 bus for a direct 25–30 minute ride downtown, or take a short drive
(about 15–20 minutes) if you prefer to explore by car. Lincoln Park and the Fauntleroy ferry terminal are just minutes away—launching points for hikes, beach walks, or day trips to Vashon Island.
You’ll also be close to neighborhood favorites like Birdhouse Coffee, Rain City Clay, and Endolyne Joe’s for comfort food and brunch. Nature lovers can visit and wander through Lincoln Park, while having easy access to Target, Safeway, and QFC (all less than 10 minutes drive).
Alki Beach and the West Seattle Water Taxi (for a quick ferry ride to downtown) are also within reach for a sunny afternoon by the water.
Bring your sense of adventure and meet two giant trolls in one trip, with our cozy stay just a short hop from Bruun Idun in Lincoln Park and Oscar the Bird King on Vashon Island.
Friendly neighborhood cats occasionally visit the yard—don’t be surprised if a curious one stops by to say hello!
Guest access
You will have full access to the entire, standalone single family home 24 hours a day. There is room to park 3-4 cars in the front (head in) on SW 99th St. This is technically street parking, but the neighborhood respects not parking in front of other’s houses, and it feels like offstreet parking.
The yard is fully fenced so you will enter through the wooden gate in the middle with our house number which we will share once you book. The house is green with a pink front door - very easy to identify.
The front door is locked with a smart lock (code provided), so there’s no hassle with keys.
Other things to note
The house is not far from 35th Ave SW so there may hear light traffic noise during the day. We rarely notice it, but just want to be transparent in case you are looking for a purely silent stay.
No pets are allowed. Our neighborhood cats will likely want to come inside - just politely tell them no and they will bother someone else ;)
