Because it sits on a corner of the fiftieth floor of Ocean by Meriton, the living room gives you the surf directly below, the coastline running north toward Main Beach, and the hinterland behind. It is the outlook people book the Gold Coast for and usually do not get, and the sand is a road crossing rather than a walk.
The Space

The kitchen is full-sized: gas cooktop, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster, with children's tableware if you need it. Two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. The Neighbourhood
Downstairs. Castaway Coffee Bar sits on the ground floor. Level 1 has COAST Beach Bar & Kitchen, Josper wood-fired with a rooftop terrace, and La Calabrese for Italian. Evaiya Spa is in the ground-floor shops. With six people, three places to eat before you leave the building matters.
Eating and drinking. Sandbar at 52 Esplanade does a beachfront breakfast. Seascape Bar & Restaurant runs three levels of seafood, and Hurricane's Grill does steak over the water. Cavill Avenue has Grill'd; BOBs Beer on Elkhorn Avenue is a microbrewery; Benny's Burgers is on Hanlan Street, Longboards Laidback Eatery at Northcliffe Terrace. Short drive: Yamagen at QT Gold Coast, Citrique on Ferny Avenue, Fu Manchu on Chevron Island, and Palette at HOTA, which holds three chef hats.
Beach and things to do. Surfers Paradise Beach is across the road and patrolled, Budds Beach calmer to the north-west. The Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets run along the Esplanade several evenings a week. The observation deck at the top of the Q1 tower is a walk away. Sea World is ten minutes by car at Main Beach; Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet'n'Wild and Dreamworld are 25 to 30 minutes north, the standard week with children.
Getting around. Cavill Avenue G:link station is a short walk, and the tram runs south to Broadbeach, Pacific Fair and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in about ten minutes, north through Main Beach and Southport to Helensvale. Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta is half an hour, Brisbane Airport an hour and a quarter.
Practical. A Coles supermarket a few minutes away covers a weekly shop for six. Pindara Private Hospital at Benowa runs a 24-hour emergency and cardiac centre, and Gold Coast University Hospital at Southport has its own tram station. Griffith University Gold Coast is fifteen minutes north, Bond University at Robina twenty. People First Stadium at Carrara and Cbus Super Stadium at Robina are an easy drive.
Who It Suits
A family of five or six who want a kitchen, a laundry and free parking rather than three hotel rooms. Two or three couples together, where two bathrooms is the peace treaty. If you are not satisfied with the cleanliness of the apartment upon arrival, please contact us within 6 hours of check-in. We will arrange for our cleaners to return as soon as possible. If a solution is offered but declined, refunds cannot be provided.
