The house is currently undergoing a complete renovation and will soon feature 5 stylish bedrooms, 4 modern bathrooms, and 2 inviting living rooms—one with a breathtaking 5m-wide panorama window overlooking the mountains. Central heating, new floors, windows, and doors ensure modern comfort while preserving the charm of a traditional Austrian farmhouse. On the ground floor, the living room connects directly to a fully equipped kitchen—perfect for family dinners and relaxing after a day outdoors. A traditional tile stove adds cozy warmth in the evenings, ideal for unwinding with a glass of wine on the comfortable couch. Upstairs, you’ll find 4 double bedrooms on the first floor and 2 additional bedrooms on the top floor. Bathrooms are conveniently located on each level: one on the ground floor, two on the first floor, and one on the top floor. The new penthouse living room offers a dedicated chillout area with a mini kitchen—perfect for enjoying coffee, tea, or an evening drink while watching the sunset through the floor-to-ceiling glass front. Outside, a brand-new BBQ and fire pit invite you to dine under the stars, gather around the warmth of the fire, and enjoy the serene setting of mountains and a nearby river. The guests can access all the areas of the house I am living 1.5 hours away and am available for any kind of questions and help needed. My parents operate a farm in avillage 20min away, and are also more than happy to socialize and be available in case any help is needed. On average, there is one car per hour driving by on the road in front of the house - perfect for your relaxing trip into the mountains. Pusterwald is a small village with a population of around 500 people, located in the Wölzer Tauern, a subrange of the Austrian Central Alps. The chalet is 7km outside of the village, situated in a breathtaking scenery, surrounded by mountains, forests, pastures, and rivers. The area is largely unknown to mainstream tourism, which make it a real hidden gem within Austria. Nevertheless the area offers a range of fabulous hikes to mountain peaks with 2400m of altitude, incredible views, and the chance to truly wind down from a hectic urban life. Yet the place is easily reachable by car, and the next grocery store, gas station, doctor, bank, and bakery are only a 15min drive away. A major shopping center is only 35 min drive away. Further, there are operated mountain huts (20-40min by car), two swimming ponds in (20-30min) driving distance, and a public swimming pool in 40min driving. I can share a lot of detailed recommendations if you are interested prior to booking, or once you arrive at the house. Driving to the Red Bull Ring takes only 45min by car.
