Maarten and Celine are exceptionally kind and helpful hosts — always available, always with a good tip, and never intrusive. The house itself is beautiful: the decoration mixes old and new in a really tasteful way, and the attention to detail shows everywhere. The views are stunning and the setting is wonderfully calm and relaxing — the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. The swimming pool was the perfect finishing touch after a day out. The house has absolutely everything you need for your stay, and the location is ideal: everything is within easy reach. Faro and its old walled town are a must, Santa Luzia is a charming old fishing village for an evening walk along the promenade and a good fish dinner, Olhão is lively at night with plenty of restaurants and bars, and the ferry to Fuseta beach felt almost Caribbean. We also want to thank Maarten and Celine for the lovely birthday surprise — a really thoughtful gesture that made the stay even more special. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!
