Charming 3 bed house at The Oyster Retreat, Tankerton, Whitstable and 200m from beach

Great location, just by the bus stop to get into Whitstable. Good amount of kitchen utensils for self catering

The water pressure is quite low in the showers but fine for a short stay.

The house was homely and very comfortable especially the large sofa. It is located 2 minutes walk from the beach and a couple of minutes walk to shops. The house is equipped with all you may need for a comfortable stay. There is room for 2 cars to park on the drive as well… so you can leave the car and walk to Whitstable harbour either along the promenade or the road the house is located on. There is a garden with table and chairs which we sat and had dinner at one night which was very enjoyable especially as we stayed on one of the hottest weekends of the year. Oliver , the owner was really friendly and made us feel welcome.. there was tea , coffee, milk, cake and fruit bowl left for us which was very thoughtful.. he lives locally so was on hand to help with anything we needed.

The only thing we found was that the glass conservatory attached to the living room held the heat inside the property, but as stated before it was the hottest weekend so probably wouldn’t be as bad in normal summer temperatures.! Oliver had provided lots of fans in the property which helped a lot. We mentioned this to Oliver and he is going to look into sorting some kind of cooling or air conditioning system!
