San Simone Holiday - Cimballo

The location is absolutely magical. Within the walls of the ancient walled old town it is like stepping straight into history. The medieval citadel is stunning and during the hot hours of the day, the quiet narrow streets offer shade and a welcome breeze. The citadel is located on a steep hill, and the daily trips to and from the beach and the village ensure plenty of free exercise! This also means that being good on your feet is a requirement for getting to the accommodation. The citadel is secluded and offers 2 churches and just 2 restaurants. Shops and other eating facilities can be found outside of the walled town, in the village at the foot of the hill. The house itself, like the citadel, is steeped in history, comfortably furnished and very spacious. The house offers a single and double bedroom plus bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, bidet) on the ground floor, a spacious lounge, dining room, a kitchen and second bathroom (shower, toilet and bidet) on the first floor and an open space twin bed area and master bedroom on the top floor. The master bedroom has access to the beautiful spacious terrace that offers a stunning view of the surrounding area. Especially early morning and in the evening the terrace is a lovely space to relax. The parking spot near the house is very convenient, since carrying luggage and shopping up the steep hill is intense. The streets are narrow, requiring a confident driver. The village at the foot of the hill offers plenty of nice shops, often with artisan products and beautiful typically Italian fashion. The beach is very nice with umbrella's and sun loungers for rent. The hosts, Simone, Antonella and Claudia were incredibly kind and forthcoming.
