If you’re an independent traveller who is comfortable with self check-in and doesn’t need a reception, this is a great choice. The apartment itself is clean and renovated with everything I needed, including a kitchen, fridge, bathroom, TV and useful amenities such as an iron, enough storage spaces and a drying rack. Omonia metro station is only a few minutes’ walk away, making it very easy to explore the city centre. There are also plenty of traditional coffee, pastry and souvlaki places within a 10–20 minute walk, which I really enjoyed.

The main thing to be aware of is the immediate neighbourhood. Although there are many hotels around Omonia, including well-known brands, some of the surrounding streets are quite gritty. The smaller streets around the apartment can be very dark and quiet at night, which made the final 200 metres of the walk feel less comfortable. Arriving after dark was a little challenging at first, as I needed my phone flashlight to access the key box, open the gate and navigate the poorly lit entrance areas. Therefore, I think the location is better suited to independent male travellers than to families or those looking for a romantic setting.

Great apartment, new, clean, just like the photos. Good wifi for work and very comfortable bed. AC was excellent.

Location I would give a 7. But it metro line is only a few minutes away.
