Sunrise Villa Alvorada - Rose Parlour

Wij hadden een super ontspannen verblijf bij Denise. Het was als een tweede thuis. De kamer met patio, de leuke plekjes in de tuin om te zitten of te eten, het zwembad. Alles fantastisch en knus. Je kunt zien dat Denise het met veel liefde heeft bedacht en gemaakt. We waren ook heel blij met de keuken die je deelt met de andere gasten. Fijn om zelf ontbijt of iets anders klaar te kunnen maken en niet altijd buiten de deur te hoeven eten. En leuk om af en toe andere gasten te ontmoeten. En niet te vergeten de hond Khloe. Wat een schatje. De locatie is heel goed om verschillende leistenen dorpjes ( aldeias de xisto) te bezoeken. Coimbra is ook vlakbij. Strand, Porto, Viseu iets verder weg maar ook goed te doen als dagtrip. Kortom, wij hebben 5 geweldige dagen gehad en vonden het jammer om te vertrekken.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful countryside property and cannot recommend this experience enough! The whole house is beautifully decorated with a very personal touch and is even better than it looks in the pictures. It is situated in a wonderfully peaceful and quiet area, yet it is just a short distance from the nearby small city, making it the perfect balance of calm and convenience. Everything about the property looks very carefully designed for relaxation, allowing guests to truly unwind and enjoy a slow, calm rhythm. Our bedroom on the ground floor was very spacious and opened up onto a very nice balcony in front of the pool. The host, Denise, is kind, welcoming, genuine, and incredibly efficient. Her hospitality went above and beyond—she "treat-ed" us with fresh fruit straight from her trees and even surprised us with a delicious homemade banana bread to take along for our journey on the day of our departure! Honestly, we loved being her guests, and also loved getting to know her friendly cat and dog too (who you don't have to worry about since they are also extremely discreet ;)). We would definitely stop by again if we are in the area!

Denise is very kind and her place is pure calm and very beautiful. The room had everything one can need and the bes was comfortable. We adored her dog Chloe as well, she is so sweet.

This villa in Central Portugal was the highlight of my trip. It's immediately obvious that the Canadian host has poured her heart into transforming it into a peaceful little oasis where every detail has been carefully considered. My room was immaculate, with excellent air conditioning, blackout shutters, and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in—I had one of the best nights' sleep in a long time. Opening the terrace doors to the beautifully designed pool courtyard each morning was a wonderful way to start the day. The atmosphere is so calm and welcoming that you instantly feel at home. Although I only stayed one night, I could easily have spent several days simply relaxing there without feeling the need to go anywhere else. If you're exploring Central Portugal, visiting Coimbra, or travelling the N2 route, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's an authentic retreat with a genuinely warm host who has created somewhere truly special.
