Spacious Mountain Home with Private Pool in Tanay

Overall, we had a good stay. The house has a nice ambiance, and the property itself is clean and well-maintained. The pool was also enjoyable, making it a great place to relax with family and friends. I hope the host considers improving the room description, addressing the condition of the sofa bed, enhancing the surroundings of the pool area, and handling late checkout situations more consistently and fairly.

The house felt a bit smaller than what the photos suggested. In Bedroom 1, there are two bunk beds with pull-out beds, but only one pull-out can actually be used at a time because there isn't enough space to pull both out simultaneously. There is also a sofa bed, but when we tried to use it, one of its legs kept folding, making it unstable and unusable. I guess the house can comfortably accommodate 13–14 guests. Another concern was the vacant lot overlooking the pool. It had visible trash, which affected the view and made the pool area feel less private and secure since it seemed quite open. Our biggest issue was the late checkout policy. We stayed a little beyond checkout time only to finish packing, and all the lights and air conditioners upstairs had already been turned off. The cleaners had already started cleaning the outdoor areas while we were still inside preparing to leave. We even asked them to begin cleaning the inside of the house while we finished packing, but they declined twice and only entered after we insisted. I only saw the host's message the following day, informing us that we would be charged a late checkout fee because another guest was arriving. I requested that the fee be waived since housekeeping had already started the turnover while we were still there, and I don't believe our departure caused any delay for the next guests. The stated purpose of the late checkout fee was to cover extended utilities, staffing, and operational costs. However, in our case, there were no additional utilities being used since everything had already been turned off, and the cleaners had already started their work. Charging a late checkout fee while simultaneously beginning the turnover before we had fully left felt unreasonable and, honestly, a bit uncomfortable. If guests are expected to pay for a late checkout, it would make more sense to wait until they have completely vacated the property before starting the cleaning process.
