Ventnor Hideaway

So homely , everything simple to use ie TV, cooker, heating, shower

This was an exceptional stay. Duncan and Jenny couldn't have been more welcoming and genuine. The garden flat, as I thought of it, is spacious and quiet. I had the best sleep for years in the large, quiet bedroom in a very comfortable kingsize bed. The living room is large with a comfortable sofa, well-connected tv entertainment centre and a desk for work (important for me) next to the internet router. I enjoyed the walk-in shower/wet room. Location is ideal; south-facing, plenty of street parking, five minute downhill walk into the centre of Ventnor. I could happily have stayed several more weeks. The October weather was generally very good which added to the positive vibe.

There was nothing I didn't like. The hosts even provided some food items as part of the welcome.

The host was excellent, very helpful indeed and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was amazing, probably the comfiest I've ever come across! Also, with the flat being in a basement there's little light to disturb you and its also really quiet. Parking is good, it can be challenging around Ventnor so to have free on street parking is a real bonus! Its a 10min walk down to the beach as well so easily accessible (providing you're okay with hills)

Nothing I didn't like, I was just thinking maybe the colour of the walls different to white to make it feel less 'clinical' (working as an ED doctor i see too much of it!) but that is purely a personal opinion and didnt influence my rating at all.

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. It was the perfect getaway, made even better by the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in!! We will definitely be booking here again on our next trip to the Isle of Wight.
