Maison cosy indépendante proche Bayeux, Caen et la mer

It's a lovely quiet location in the Normandy countryside. Great for touring around the area. The house is spotless and well designed, modern facilities, lovely shower room, well equipped kitchen (not that we used it other than for breakfasts!) and a nice terrace if one wanted to sit outside). WiFi - There really is nothing to be picky about. It makes a comfortable holiday home! However there are no shops or cafes anywhere near! The days of the French village with a cafe/bar (or maybe two) is history in this area, sadly - we drove through many villages in a wide area, keeping an eye out for ONE and were unable to find any. Having written that I realise how ridiculous it sounds, I mean it's France! But the modern world seems to have done for such fine traditions. So bear in mind that you need to buy groceries before arriving - If you run out of anything that basically means driving to Caen or Bayeux. We did find one small supermarket about 15-20 minutes away (BRETTEVILLE L'ORGUEILLEUSE https://www.magasins-u.com/magasin/uexpress-brettevillelorgueilleuse.m22162# open until 08:30 - 20:00hrs except Sunday 9:00-12:30 The hosts are very nice - communicated very well before we arrived. A couple of nice touches waiting for us inside. A key box is outside the property to accessibility at any time is possible. We will very happily book again when we return to the area.
