Jinglai Hotel Shanghai South Bund Xintiandi

Very nice people at the reception area. They have a translator machine to communicate with foreigners. They were also quite attentive to my arrival time, upgraded me to a room with a window and helped me find me way to the room (it's like a maze! :D) The room is clean, and so are toilet and showers. It also has a cute Totoro drawing on the wall. Most importantly though: they have a water dispenser to fill your water bottle, a kettle in the room to make tea, and a washing machine and dryer to use for free.

The building is a bit dilapetated inside, some walls not so well taken care of. The toilet and shower in the room have an unpleasant smell to them, it's likely from the plumbing. Luckily, it doesn't waft into the room once the doors are closed. There are no towel hangers near the shower or the sink. The window doesn't have a lock but there are metal bars in front of it so I didn't feel unsafe. Plus, the room was on the 1st floor (or 2nd, depending on where you're from). But overall, I had a good stay!

立地ですね。馬当路駅から徒歩5分くらい。観光にはとても快適です。

壁が薄いのか、隣の家族が声が大きいのか、少し音が気になりました。

The room wasn’t as clean as I would have wanted it to be . The amount of dust on the TV . The mould in the bathroom. And the smell that came from the bathroom when initially opened the door .
