Rhinecliff Hotel

The beautiful view from the room was so stunning

It was perfect

We spent 2 nights that this truly unique, work in progress hotel and can't wait to go back! It's a work in progress and it's going to be fun to see its progress in the next year or so. The location is breathtaking with a view of the Catskills and the Hudson River. Currently there are 9 rooms and no other facilities, but the restoration is well under way. There is a superb restaurant across the street and a charming bakery up the street. It's quiet, even with the train coming through a few times a day. It's also only 6 minutes from Rhinebeck.

A few quirks. The shower is small and the AC blows directly on to the bed making it difficult to skeep

There was no breakfast

What a treasure this place is! Our hosts left us a welcome note hinting at this 1854 landmark’s at-times complicated history, but what we encountered on arrival was the best of all worlds: A soaring space that seemed grounded in history but with an impressive variety of modern and high-end updates. The bathroom was immaculate, and the bed was a plush fortress that made it easy to fall asleep. We enjoyed coffee on our full balcony with spectacular views of the Hudson. This was a memorable experience for all the right reasons, and we wish the Rhinecliff Hotel a long and bright future.

It would have helped to have access to a mini-fridge, but that’s a minor quibble
