Villa Wanda, On The Port Of Ischia

Amazing view! We spent every morning and evening sitting on the terrace, enjoying the sea view with coffee and wine. There’s lots of space and very high ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a huge fridge, and there’s also a great outdoor grill area. We received a friendly welcome, along with some snacks, a bottle of Prosecco and water in the fridge. This place is perfect for families and excellent value for money (compared to the other accommodations in the area).

It's like coming once a year to your granny's holiday house — you may want to invest a little time into some extra cleaning yourself, which is quite normal for such houses. The place is cleaned regularly by a cleaning lady, though naturally more on the surface. It looks clean at first glance; we did wash out the dishwasher filter ourselves, which clearly hadn't been done in a while, but that's a small and easy fix. The furniture is genuinely antique, though the bed was still comfortable. The cupboards were a little dusty, and parts of the veneer was peeling in places, which is understandable given the age of the furniture and the salty sea air. The only things we really disliked are the polyester bed linen (Why?) and one persistent mosquito flying around at night — nothing a bit of patience couldn't handle.
