Everything was fantastic! The location is excellent – just a short walk from the beach, making it perfect for both relaxing and exploring the city. There is also an amazing bakery right next door where you can enjoy fresh Sicilian pastries and bread every morning, as well as a small but very nice café nearby. Our flight was delayed, so we didn't arrive until after midnight, but Paulo was still there waiting for us. He gave us a very warm welcome, showed us around the apartment, explained everything, and made us feel at home immediately. We were also greeted with some lovely welcome gifts: a bottle of Prosecco, delicious Sicilian sweets, and two vouchers for free ice cream at Paulo's gelateria. The ice cream was absolutely amazing, and we highly recommend trying it! The apartment was spotless, very well maintained, and comfortable. Even without using the air conditioning, it stayed pleasantly cool inside, although the A/C was definitely useful since the temperature was above 30°C every day. We also appreciated that the property is behind a secure entrance gate leading to a small courtyard, which made us feel safe and added a nice sense of privacy. Overall, we had an amazing stay. Paulo is an outstanding host, and we would definitely stay here again!

There were only two very minor downsides. The apartment doesn't get a lot of natural daylight, and there wasn't really a convenient place to dry clothes. Neither of these affected our stay very much, and we're sure Paulo will find a simple solution for future guests. It could also be a little noisy in the morning, but that's simply part of the authentic Sicilian lifestyle, where people start their day early.
