Seaside Oasis at Playa Los Coralles

El alojamiento destaca por su cómoda ubicación, el aire acondicionado funciona perfectamente, las camas son comodisimas, el apartamento y las zonas comunes han sido maravillosamente silenciosas, el poder usar la piscina a cualquier hora ayuda mucho a sofocar el calor y el balcón es maravilloso para acabar el dia relajada en él.

Podría mejorarse algunos de los muebles ya que dan una primera impresión negativa, se equilibra con la limpieza que tiene el apartamento.

Location/Transportation: The entrance to the beach is about a 5-minute walk. There are lots of restaurants around so it's very convenient to go out and eat. Uber eats works too. I used it once. It's also very easy to get an Uber because the area is highly concentrated in tourists and there are plenty of drivers in the area that usually come within a minute. Room Amenities, Kitchenette & Housekeeping: The air conditioning is good. No complaints there. The fridge is plenty big and works fine. Microwave works, but the plate doesn't spin. They have electric stove, a toaster and a coffee maker as well but I didn't use them. There is ample closet space for your clothing and luggage. The bed is comfortable but you only get sheets and pillows. The balcony is actually pretty nice. Feels really nice when it's raining though. Housekeeping will change the sheets and towels for you every 2 days. Food & Breakfast: Breakfast is at Kat's Corner, a restaurant at the end of the street, which is very good. It's actually made-to-order gourmet, and not a cheap continental breakfast like a lot of hotels do. Pool Area: The pool area is generally safe and is well maintained. There's a guy cleaning up the area daily and some people testing the water and cleaning the pool maybe weekly. The pool is very nice. The water is warm and it is not deep at all. You can stand up at the deepest end and the water is just above your stomach if your average height. The loungers were nice to sit on and relax. Overall Verdict: Overall the stay wasn't bad. You just need to know what you're getting into and prepare for it ahead of time. For a no frills stay, it's actually really good if you just need a place to sleep.

Listings, Booking & Pricing: Duplicate Listings Illusion: Sol Caribe and Tropicana operate this entire apartment block, but they flood Booking.com with dozens of listings under different names (like "Seaside Oasis at Playa Los Corales"). They list inaccurate addresses and fake map pins so you think you're looking at different properties, but they're all in the exact same vicinity. Ducassi Suites does the same thing and they're literally across the street. If you're browsing Booking.com and wondering why a million listings look identical, that is why. Also the price you pay or at least the price you're supposed to pay is clearly stated on booking.com. however, they did some weird calculation with a really bad conversion rate and charged me in Dominican pesos which ended up being almost $60 usd more than the agreed price. And no this wasn't a conversion thing that the credit card terminal does when you select your own currency. They did their calculation on a manual old school calculator. They are clearly ripping you off and making money off of you. Also prepaying for the first night just to confirm your booking despite booking.com saying free cancellation is a red flag. If you need to cancel, you have to dispute it with your credit card company to get that payment back. ​Shuttle & Location/Transportation: They advertised free shuttle if you book seven nights or longer, but don't even bother. They got me on that and it's for the arrival pickup. It's not round trip so you'll have to pay for the shuttle back. Better off, just ubering. The address listed on booking.com isn't the actual property address. So you'll have to use Calle Aruba 14, Punta Cana 23000 for Uber to come by. Or if you're going to book an experience or hotel pickup, you have to use something else like a nearby landmark.
