Good location - groceries nearby, easy access to busses, Leith, Princess St. Nicely decorated, cozy flat, with a courtyard view.

At first glance the place looked good, but so many inconveniences outweighed the few positives. First, about 14 hours after I booked my 2-week stay, I hadn't been charged yet and I received an offer to stay in a friend's unoccupied flat for free for the first week, but this place wouldn't allow me to change the reservation due to their nonrefundable policy, which is understandable, and still disappointing. Then, I had to haul all of my luggage up to one location to pick up the key, and then half a mile over to the flat, where both hands are needed to enter and navigate steps and 2 locked doors. (Also had to repeat that in reverse to check out.) As I mentioned, the place looked nice - I liked the decorations, and it felt cozy. As I got settled and started using things, I noticed several missed opportunities to justify the hefty price. In no particular order: There was only one roll of toilet paper. There was only one mirror in the whole flat, no full length, with horrible lighting. There was only one hand towel between two bathrooms (one with a sink, a shower, and bad lighting, and one with a sink, a toilet, and natural light). The shower drain would get backed up pretty quickly. The shelves in the shower bathroom were very dusty, and the vent cover was filthy. I had to scrub grime out of the washing machine before I was comfortable washing my clothes in it. Most of the dishes in the cupboards were not clean, and other items in the kitchen cupboards appeared unclean and rather haphazardly arranged. There were mostly used leftover food items in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. The one throw blanket smelled used. I never figured out how to work the heating. Fortunately, it was summer, but there were a few chilly nights. There was a massive wardrobe in the bedroom, with one whole door taped shut, and other doors and drawers that didn't move very easily. (I didn't use it, and it seemed a big waste of space.

Só não gostei de ter que buscar a chave em outro local. Mas fica pertinho.
